HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Huntsville Police have charged Savontae Terrelle Shoulders with multiple charges after his arrest overnight. It's a case that started almost two weeks ago with the arson of a mattress store.

Shoulders is charged with arson, burglary, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon and attempting to elude a police officer.

Officers arrested Shoulders early this morning after they say he led them on a short chase in a stolen car.

Investigators believe Shoulders broke into the Cowboys Wholesale car dealer on Jordan Lane on February 11. They say he stole the keys to the vehicle then set fire to the building. The office is connected to Mattress Max which is what saw most of the damage that morning.

Last night, Officers found an abandoned truck pulling a skidsteer wrecked on Research Park Boulevard near Blake Bottom Road. They determined that truck to have been stolen from Cowboys Wholesale.

Some time later, officers say they noticed a car on Pulaski Pike, also stolen from Coyboys, an attempted to pull the driver over. That driver, now identified as Shoulders, led police on a short chase before ending at a dead end on Craft Avenue.

Officers say Shoulders dropped a gun during the chase which investigators say was taken from Mississippi.

Huntsville Police expect more arrests in the case.

According to jail records, Shoulders has been arrested a number of times. One of those arrests includes three murder charges. Our records show that is from the 2012 murder of Marlo Patton. Court documents show Shoulders was out of jail on a $15,000 bond in that case. As of today, his bond has been revoked.
