MADISON COUNTY, Ala. - Faculty and staff are teaching students at Central School what exactly Veterans Day stands for.
"Those military veterans, there's something that every walk of life can be proud of what they've done for us," said Principal Alex Hughes.
One in particular, Rheuben Cummings, was the selected guest speaker. He's also an 89-year-old retired US Air Force Master Sergeant.

Rheuben Cummings, a Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant, spoke to students at Central School on Nov. 9 about his service.
With more than 20 years of service, he shared some of his most fond memories to Central students.
"My greatest service was in Libya, North Africa," said Cummings. "Because I was an adviser to the Libyan Air Force in my career field, aircraft maintenance and I just loved it."
After the storytelling, Cummings said Veterans Day is so special to him because of how much love he has for what he did.
"Oh, it made me feel honored, honored... that someone would ask me to speak, it's just an honor because I'm speaking about something I really love," explained Cummings.
